Michael J. Marberger annual meeting
On the 15th of December 2017, the 3rd Michael J. Marberger annual meeting took place, too. Clinicians and scientists were updated on the breakthroughs of 2017 by state-of-the art lectures. The meeting was structured as an intensive, interactive, half-day educational program to bring international experts together to discuss Frontiers in Urology 2017.
The program included three main sessions focusing on “Vanguards in Uro-oncology”, “Heinz Pflüger – a pioneer and statesman” and “Vanguards in Endo-urology”.
Markus Hartenbach, expert in nuclear medicine, is part of our oncology study team. In his lecture, he presented the improved diagnostic methods in prostate cancer with PET/MR and emphasised the dual biomarker concept of our institute. In long term, this should highly contribute to a better diagnosis and the possibility to change and adapt treatment according to the results of scans and other parameters.
