Medical Imaging Cluster Festival

The first MIC (Medical Imaging Cluster) Festival took place on the 14th of June 2018 at the Medical University of Vienna. Modern imaging techniques have major impact in today’s medicine. They enable improved diagnosis and lead to better patient care.

The Medical Imaging Cluster oversees the collaboration of several institutions and research bodies involved in imaging at the Medical University of Vienna, and represents these organisations in six, theme-oriented focal areas of scientific nodes.1

The festival comprised interesting lectures covering the field of personalized imaging and provided valuable insights into future innovations. Also, our director, Markus Mitterhauser, had the honour to hold a lecture about “Multimodal molecular imaging of metabolic processes in preclinical settings”, where he showed current research results of his working group. Further the LBI:AD was represented within the poster walk. Carolina Giammei presented her research project with the title “Glycosylated 99mTc(CO)3-Labeled Peptides for Improved Tumor Targeting”.

SAVE THE DATE: The next MIC-Festival will be on the 13th of June 2019.
